The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) has placed all airports nationwide on heightened alert status due to the expected surge of passengers during Undas.
According to Caap, the alert status will take effect starting Thursday, Oct. 29 to Nov. 3, Tuesday, as part of the Department of Transportation’s ‘Oplan Byaheng Ayos: Undas 2026’ initiatives.
The agency said it will install help desks across all airports to help passengers with any concerns.
It added that all airport security personnel and medical teams are on standby to respond to emergencies.
‘Our priority is to ensure that passengers receive timely assistance, airport operations remain orderly, and concerns are addressed promptly,’ Caap Director General Retired Lt. Gen. Raul del Rosario said in a statement.
‘We are working closely with our partner agencies and airport stakeholders to help provide travelers with a safe and convenient journey during the Undas period,’ he noted.
The agency then urged passengers to comply with airport security requirements and procedures to prevent delays.
Passenger traffic may reach 1.25 million from Oct. 27 to Nov. 4 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia), according to the New Naia Infrastructure Corp. (NNIC).
The NNIC previously logged 1.24 million travelers at the airport in 2025
