Former Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairperson Philip ‘Popoy’ Juico passed away on Saturday, October 31. He was 78.
Juico’s son, Vincent, confirmed this in a Facebook post on Sunday.
‘It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of my father, Philip ‘Popoy’ Juico, who passed away yesterday evening at 8:18 p.m. at the Makati Medical Center,’ Vincent wrote in the post.
He did not detail the cause of his father’s death.
‘We kindly ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he rests in peace,’ he said.
