Four delegates favor Angelica Lopez at Miss Grand International 2026

Reina Filipinas Angelica Lopez has enjoyed the support of four of her fellow delegates at the 2026 Miss Grand International happening in Thailand, saying they would want the Filipino bet to win the title if they will not be crowned.

During the closed-door interview held in Bangkok on Sunday, Oct. 4, the panel asked the delegates who they see winning Miss Grand International aside from them. This question has become customary for the pageant in the recent editions.

Lopez earned nods from Ecuador’s Shyare Andrade, Tanzania’s Jihan Dimack, Chile’s Ignacia Michelson, and Pakistan’s Zara Younus. The Filipino bet, meanwhile, chose host delegate Patthama Jitsawat from Thailand.

But leading the pack was Emoura Pham from Vietnam, who was mentioned by 14 delegates. Following her by a hairstrand was Dimack who earned the approval of 13 other candidates.

In far third with seven delegates picking her was Lopez’s choice Patthama, with Andrade not far behind earning the approval of six of her fellow candidates.

Matching Lopez’s four nods of approval was Guatemala’s Ximena Carillo, while Australia’s Cat Jane Shepherd was mentioned by three other delegates. Mexico’s Pety Juarez was chosen by two other candidates.

Also mentioned by two delegates were Xuebung Liu from Hong Kong, Patricia Seward from Canada, Victoria Oluwakotanmi from the United States, and Alyanni Gomez from Cuba.

The much-awaited National Costume Competition and the crucial Preliminary Competition will both be held at MGI Hall at Bravo BKK in Bangkok on Oct. 7. The ‘Grand Final’ is scheduled to take place in the same venue on Oct. 10.
