The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will offer free rides to children under 18 on Monday, November 3 as the nation marks National Children’s Month, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Wednesday.
In a Facebook post, the DOTr said the free rides will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
‘This is MRT-3’s response to the request of the National Council for the Welfare of Children for the special occasion, and serve as the line’s tribute to Filipino youth,’ MRT-3 management said.
Under Republic Act No. 10661, November is designated as National Children’s Month, an annual observance that seeks to raise awareness and uphold the rights and welfare of children across the nation.
