Heavy rains with thunderstorms are expected to prevail over Metro Manila and several areas in Luzon on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 1, the state weather bureau said.
In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 2:05 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that heavy rain showers with lightning and strong gusts of winds may affect the following areas within the next two hours:
Metro Manila (Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Pasay, and Manila)
Bataan (Morong, Orani, and Samal)
Batangas (Tingloy, Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan, Mabini, Alitagtag, San Luis, Santa Teresita, San Nicolas, Taal, Agoncillo, Laurel, Padre Garcia, Rosario, Taysan, Lobo, San Juan, Santo Tomas, Tanauan, and Talisay)
Bulacan (Obando, Meycauayan, San Jose del Monte, Marilao, Santa Maria, Angat, Norzagaray, Pandi, Bustos, Bocaue, Bulakan, Balagtas, Guiguinto, and Plaridel)
