Another aftershock, this time measured at magnitude of 4.4, shook Bogo City, Cebu on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The aftershock stemmed from the deadly magnitude 6.9 earthquake that rocked the city on Sept. 30.
According to Phivolcs, the epicenter of the quake was located 25 kilometers northeast of Bogo City, Cebu and was recorded at exactly 5:07 p.m.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of 10 kilometers.
Phivolcs said the following Instrumental intensities were recorded
Intensity III – Villaba, Leyte
Intensity I – Kawayan, Biliran; Danao, Talisay, Moalboal, Cebu; Isabel, Leyte; Cebu City; Ormoc City
Phivolcs said no damage and aftershocks are expected. /gsg
