Most wanted murder suspect in Metro Manila arrested in Malabon

Authorities arrested a murder suspect – tagged as the most wanted person in the National Capital Region – in an operation in Malabon City, police said.

In a press briefing at the Northern Police District (NPD) headquarters in Caloocan City on Thursday, Malabon City police chief Col. Allan Umipig said officers arrested the suspect on Oct. 1 by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 169.

Umipig identified the suspect only as ‘Emilio,’ 40.

According to the local police chief, the alleged murder occurred in Barangay Maysilo, Malabon City, on April 4, 2025, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old man identified only as ‘Jay.’ ‘He has accomplices. There are four of his cohorts at large. He was one of the rowdy ones in his barangay. They went to the victim’s home to harm him,’ Umipig said speaking in Filipino.

‘They just had a fight. That’s what’s coming out of this investigation. They had a fight so they went to confront him,’ he added.
