Suspected marijuana and cannabis-infused products valued at P43.8 million were confiscated in a buy-bust operation in Taytay, Rizal early Thursday morning, leading to the arrest of a ‘high-value’ individual, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
‘The operation led to the recovery of an estimated 25 kilos of high-grade kush, 23 kilos of dried marijuana leaves, 1,600 cartridges of suspected liquid marijuana, and 200 pieces of suspected marijuana-infused vape juice, among other evidence,’ the PNP noted.
Police identified the arrested person only as a 31-year-old male ‘involved in the distribution of high-grade marijuana.’ It detailed that the confiscated drugs were turned over to Taytay Municipal Police Station and the arrested suspect was detained at its custodial facility, awaiting charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act. /apl
