Orange rainfall warning was raised over six areas in Central and Southern Luzon on Friday afternoon due to the enhanced southwest monsoon or ‘habagat’ and the effects of the trough of Typhoon Dolphin, the state weather bureau said.
In its 2 p.m. heavy rainfall warning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the following areas will experience the effects under the said warning:
Bataan
Zambales
Pampanga
Bulacan (Baliuag, Calumpit, Malolos, Hagonoy, Paombong, Pulilan, Plaridel)
Cavite (Rosario, General Trias, Dasmariñas, Silang, Tagaytay, Amadeo, Mendez, Indang, Trece Martires, Naic, Tanza, Maragondon, Ternate, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Alfonso)
Batangas (Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balayan, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Calaca, Calatagan, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Laurel, Lemery, Lian, Lipa, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, Nasugbu, San Jose, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Santo Tomas, Taal, Talisay, Tingloy, Tuy)
Pagasa said areas under Orange rainfall warning are expected to have 15 to 30 millimeters (mm) of rainfall within the next three hours, where flooding is ‘threatening.’
The bureau also said that yellow rainfall warning is in effect over these areas:

Under this rainfall warning, 7.5 to 15 mm of rainfall is expected within the next three hours with the bureau warning of possible flooding in flood-prone areas.
Meanwhile, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are expected in parts of Laguna (Luisiana, Magdalena, Majayjay, Pangsanjan, Santa Cruz, Cavinti, Kalayaan, Lumban, Paete) within the next three hours.
It added that light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are already prevailing in parts of Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Gumaca, Pitogo, Lopez, Calauag, Guinayangan, Tagkawayan, Buenavista, Catanauan, General Luna, Macalelon, Mulanay, San Narciso, San Andres, San Francisco, Pagbilao, Tayabas, Lucena, Lucban, Sampaloc, Polillo, Burdeos, Panukulan, Patnanungan, Jomalig) and may persist for three hours.
According to Pagasa, the low pressure area, which was formerly Tropical Depression Maymay, already dissipated as of 8 a.m. Meanwhile, Typhoon Dolphin exited the bureau’s monitoring domain.
