The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday announced that it is opening applications for 6,589 new recruits this year.
In a press briefing, PNP public information chief Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño said interested applicants may drop application requirements at their local police station or submit them online:
The requirements are the following:
Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-issued birth certificate of applicant
College diploma and transcript of record with general weighted average
Certificate of good moral character from school most recently attended
Eligibility certificate and report of rating from the National Police Commission, the Civil Service Commission or the Professional Regulation Commission
Tuaño added that applicants must also be a Filipino citizen and must have passed body mass index, psychological, drug and physical tests administered by the PNP.
According to the PNP public information chief, the 6,589 new slots in the law enforcement agency were allocated to the following regional offices and national support units:

National Capital Region Police Office – 550 slots
PRO Central Luzon – 550 slots
PRO Bicol – 450 slots
PRO Davao Region – 400 slots
PRO Ilocos Region – 350 slots
PRO Central Visayas – 350 slots
PRO Western Visayas – 300 slots
PRO Northern Mindanao – 300 slots
PRO Soccsksargen – 300 slots
PRO Negros Island Region – 300 slots
PRO Mimaropa – 250 slots
PRO Eastern Visayas – 250 slots
PRO Zamboanga Peninsula – 200 slots
PRO Caraga – 200 slots
PRO Cagayan Valley – 150 slots
PRO Cordillera Administrative Region – 139 slots
