Aguilar town in western Pangasinan has imposed a temporary ban on the entry into and exit from the town of live swine, pork, and pork by-products to control the spread of African Swine Fever (ASF).
The ban is contained in Executive Order 76-2026 issued on Monday.
Aguilar is the second town in Pangasinan that restricted the entry and exit of live swine and products within its territory.
Executive Order No. 156 was issued in the central Pangasinan town of Bayambang on October 1, following ‘isolated’ ASF cases in six of its barangays.
The other communities where ASF has been reported are Alaminos City and the towns of Malasiqui and Mapandan, according to the Bureau of Animal Industry.
