The Senate has issued an advisory suspending work in the upper chamber on November 10 in anticipation of the major impact of Super Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-wong) in the country.
‘In view of the forecast of heavy rainfall and other potential impacts of Super Typhoon Uwan, Senate President Vicente Sotto III has ordered the suspension of work at the Senate tomorrow, 10 November 2025,’ Senate Secretary Renato Bantug said in the advisory.
Malacañang has also suspended classes at all levels in both public and private schools for two days in the provinces of Luzon and the Visayas due to the super typhoon. /das
