Some of the members of the male dance group Hashtags, namely, Jameson Blake, Nikko Natividad, Zeus Collins, Jon Lucas, and Jimboy Martin, immediately said yes when asked if having a well-groomed hairstyle is a must for them, and are willing to return home if they’re not satisfied with how it looks.
‘Oo naman (Of course)!’ they said in unison when asked if having the right hairstyle is a must for them during the eighth anniversary party of celebrity hairstylist Jun ‘Master Jun’ Parcero in San Juan, whom they consider their most-trusted hairstylist.
‘Ang lalaki kahit walang makeup, okay lang. Basta maganda ang buhok, pasok (Even if men don’t wear makeup, it’s okay. As long as the hair looks good, that’s enough),’ Natividad said.
When asked to expound on how important it is, the actor-comedian joked, ‘Mas importante pa siya sa relationship naming mag-asawa (It’s more important than my relationship with my wife),’ which led to his bandmates jokingly calling him out in response.
‘Kahit naka-plain shirt ka lang, walang makeup, kapag maganda ang buhok ng lalaki, feeling namin ang gwapo namin (Even if you’re just wearing a plain shirt and with no makeup, as long as the man’s hair looks good, we already feel handsome),’ he said, adding that he would either return home or fix his hair in the car when it doesn’t look good.
For Blake and Lucas, they shared that they would ask for the help of Master Jun for the right tools and right ways to fix their hair.
‘Sobrang trust namin si Kuya Jun na kahit sa mga ganap namin [maliban] sa ‘It’s Showtime,’ tulad ng magazine shoots, kinukuha namin siya. [May] collaboration (We really trust Kuya Jun even in our events aside from ‘It’s Showtime,’ such as magazine shoots, we get him. There is collaboration),’ Blake shared.
Hashtags is an all-male group formed by the Kapamilya noontime show ‘It’s Showtime,’ with its members eventually forging their own paths in the entertainment industry.
With two salons, Parcero is a known celebrity hairstylist who also worked with Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, and Daniel Padilla, the latter of whom he considers one of his frequent clients.
