Heavy rainfall is expected in Zambales on Monday night due to the effects of Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung Wong), while light to moderate rains are likely in other parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, the state weather bureau said.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), flooding is possible in flood-prone areas under a yellow rainfall warning, the agency said in its 5 p.m. advisory.
Areas under a yellow rainfall warning may experience 7.5 to 15 millimeters of rain within one hour, which could persist over the next two hours.
Meanwhile, Pagasa advised residents of Nueva Ecija, Rizal, Metro Manila, and Bulacan to expect light to moderate rains over the next three hours.
Similar weather conditions are already affecting Batangas, Bataan, Tarlac, Zambales, Quezon, Cavite, Laguna, and Pampanga, and are expected to continue within the next three hours, possibly extending to nearby areas.
