Both accidented trucks were also recovered and taken to the FRSC office.

The fatal incident was one of three separate road emergencies handled by LASEMA overnight and early Saturday morning, with the other incidents occurring along Odo-Iyalaro Bridge and in Mushin.

At about 7:58 p.m. on Friday, the agency’s Tiger Response Team responded to a collision involving a Toyota Camry, with registration number AGL-70HU, and a Toyota Venza, registered as FST-893KF, on Odo-Iyalaro Bridge, inward Maryland.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the Venza had stopped by the roadside because it had run out of fuel when the Camry rammed into it.

Although no life was lost, the driver of the Camry sustained injuries and received initial medical attention from LASEMA paramedics and the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS).

In another incident at about 10:36 p.m. on Friday, LASEMA’s Eagle Response Team attended to a broken-down HOWO truck, with registration number JJJ-293XZ, at Olosha, Mushin.

The truck became stuck on a failed section of the road, obstructing about 60 per cent of the carriageway and disrupting traffic.

The vehicle was eventually recovered and moved to a lay-by, restoring free movement along the road.
