Buriram ace Bissoli bags month’s gong

Buriram United striker Guilherme Bissoli was named Thai League 1 player of the month for September, while Rayong’s Akkraporn Chalittaporn won the coach of the month award.

Rayong’s Anon Amornlertsak also won the goal of the month award, according to an announcement by the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) and the Thai League Co Ltd on the September Best Performance Awards.

Brazilian forward Bissoli scored four goals in three matches for the Thai League 1 champions last month, including a hat-trick against Sukhothai in the Thunder Castle’s 3-1 victory at Thalay Luang Stadium.

Bissoli, 28, joined Buriram in January 2024 and has become one of the most prolific strikers in the Thai game. He was the league’s top scorer and best foreign player in 2024-25, when Buriram won the domestic title.

Earlier in his career, after coming through the Sao Paulo youth system, he won the Copa Sudamericana with Athletico Paranaense in 2021.

Akkraporn guided Rayong to two wins and one draw in September, with his team scoring in every match.

Anon’s goal of the month came in Rayong’s 3-2 victory over Chonburi in the Eastern derby. He received the ball from Brazilian teammate Bruno Lete and curled a left-foot shot from outside the box into the top left corner.
