Natural Resources and Environment Minister Suchart Chomklin has directed agencies to intensify measures against transboundary haze and PM2.5 pollution, beginning with the establishment of a new Forest Fire and Haze War Room in Vientiane.
The initiative, driven under the CLEAR Sky Strategy, involves the Pollution Control Department working with the Armed Forces Border Affairs Department under the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters and related agencies to enhance monitoring, prevention and response systems.
The war room was set up in Vientiane between June 24-26.
