Many roads on this southern tourist island were left flooded after heavy rain on Monday morning.
Flooding was reported in front of Wichitsongkram School and in Kata area in Muang district.
In Kathu district, floods hit intersections at Patong Hospital, Patong Hill estate and Patong police station as well as Sai Nam Yen intersection and Kathu-Sam Kong road.
Local traffic police said the drain-off would take time, slowed by a high tide.
