Many minors, the youngest aged only 13, were found among the 300-odd customers when officials raided an illegal pub where hastily discarded drugs were scattered over the floor in Seka district early Sunday morning.
According to the Central Investigation Bureau, the pub was in a single-storey building and under-age customers were freely admitted without any ID screening.
Customers were drinking and dancing to the music when officials barged in and ordered all the lights turned on.
ID checks exposed 49 people under the legal age of 20 years among the roughly 300 customers. The youngest was just 13 years of age.
Crystal meth and methamphetamine pills were found scattered on the pub floor and in the toilets, presumably discarded by customers wanting to avoid a charge of drug possession.
The 27-year-old pub operator, identified only as Apichai, was arrested for illegally running a place of entertainment, selling alcohol to underaged people and leading minors into inappropriate behaviour.
