Residents of Pak Chong district woke to a stunning sea of fog on Thursday as temperatures dropped, signalling the arrival of the cool season in this northeastern province.
The dense fog reduced visibility to less than 100 metres in some areas, creating a 360-degree panoramic view of fog from the elevated motorcycle bridge over the railway tracks at the Pak Chong station.
Local residents typically flock to the footbridge to admire the view, which serves as a natural indicator that the tourist season has begun. Many stop to photograph the scenery.
Temperatures in Pak Chong have been dropping steadily as Nakhon Ratchasima enters the cool season, with the mountainous district typically experiencing lower temperatures than other parts of the province.
Official forecasts for Pak Chong call for morning low temperatures of 22-23C and highs of 28-30C for the next few days, with lows falling to 19C and highs around 26C starting at midweek next week.
