The regulations, published in the Royal Gazette on Oct 22, require NACC Office officials to refrain from using social media for non-work-related purposes during office hours if such activities affect efficiency or create the impression they are neglecting their duties.
Issued under Section 144(2) of the Organic Act on Anti-Corruption, the guidelines aim to uphold ethical standards, protect official confidentiality and safeguard the agency’s image.
Officials are prohibited from posting inappropriate comments or information affecting the nation, religion or monarchy, as well as disclosing confidential government information or material that could compromise sensitive operations.
The rules also ban photo or videos featuring officials wearing uniforms or clothing bearing NACC insignia if they could damage the agency’s reputation.
