Members of a political group, BAT Vanguard, have declared their support for the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
At a State Working Council meeting held at Alausa Ikeja, the group urged its local council coordinators to mobilise for the re-election of President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as well as the APC candidates in Lagos State.
Speaking at the event, the State Coordinator for BAT Vanguard, Lagos State, Hon. Ajayi Olasupo Oluseye said: ‘The election is a few months away, and there’s no time to waste, and there are lots of undecided voters, and it’s important to take the Renewed Hope Agenda to them to convince them and explain the path the Bola Tinubu administration is currently embarking on. The mobilisation should be done by moving door to door and to every nook and cranny of Lagos State for grassroots mobilisation.
In her speech, the Director of Mobilisation of BAT Vanguard, Princess Emily Jude, reiterated the group’s commitment to gathering votes for President Bola Tinubu in the general elections in 2027 and other APC candidates in Lagos State.
‘ Our priority is to give President Bola Tinubu massive votes in the coming election. In terms of strategy, BAT Vanguard, Lagos State chapter, is considering diving into a new method of mobilisation, which is community town hall meetings, by moving from one community to another to reach every part of the state to preach the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu to the grassroots people and have a feel of their concerns, grievances, and to empower some grassroots women with financial reimbursement and to create job opportunities for the youth and vocational training.
The secretary of the group, Mr. Biola Sonola, also said that the group’s mission is to reach out to the grassroots to mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Hammed Tinubu and Obafemi Hamzat for Lagos State Governor in 2027.
The group’s State Organising Secretary, Hon. Kabir Ola Ayinde, said the group was pivotal to the success of the 2023 elections in Nigeria and it has been in existence before the 2023 elections, and now that the 2027 election is approaching, BAT Vanguard is at the drawing board to strategise on how to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election come 2027 in Nigeria.’
