The Azman Group of Companies has strengthened its presence in Nigeria’s petroleum downstream sector by commissioning a new ultra-modern filling station at Nyanya Checkpoint/Mopol Junction in Abuja.
The facility, strategically located along the busy Nyanya corridor, is expected to improve access to petroleum products for motorists, residents and businesses in the area while further expanding the company’s retail network across the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Executive Vice President of Azman Group, Mustapha Abdulmunaf Yunusa Gaya, who represented the Group’s Founder, said the investment underscored the company’s commitment to making quality petroleum products readily accessible to consumers.
Gaya said the new outlet was part of the Group’s broader strategy to strengthen its operations in high-demand locations while improving customer experience and service delivery.
He assured customers of consistent product quality and high service standards, urging motorists and residents of Nyanya and neighbouring communities to patronise the new facility.
According to him, the station will also offer other Azman-branded products, giving consumers access to a wider range of products and services under one roof.
Gaya said, ‘This investment reflects our commitment to taking quality products and services closer to the people. We will continue to focus on professionalism, customer satisfaction and operational excellence across our businesses.’
He added that Azman Group would continue to identify strategic locations where its investments could improve access to essential products and services.
Also speaking at the event, Azman Group General Manager, Mukhtar Ibrahim, described the commissioning as another milestone in the company’s growth and expansion.
Ibrahim thanked the company’s business partners, regulators, customers, and community stakeholders for their support, saying the new facility demonstrated Azman Group’s determination to deepen its presence and bring its services closer to consumers.
He said the outlet was more than an additional retail facility, describing it as part of a deliberate effort to enhance customer convenience and strengthen the company’s distribution network in Abuja.
The commissioning attracted representatives of key safety and security agencies, including the Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Police Force and Federal Fire Service, as well as the District Head of Nyanya, HRH Nyanya.
Their presence highlighted the importance of safety, traffic management, and emergency preparedness in operating petroleum facilities along busy urban corridors.
Guests at the ceremony commended Azman Group for investing in critical retail infrastructure, noting that dependable petroleum outlets play an important role in supporting transportation, commerce and daily activities in densely populated communities.
The new station is expected to ease access to petroleum products for residents and businesses within the Nyanya axis, reduce the distance motorists travel to retail outlets, and further consolidate Azman Group’s petroleum distribution network in Abuja.
The commissioning comes amid sustained demand for reliable petroleum retail outlets along major urban transport corridors, particularly locations serving as gateways between the Federal Capital Territory and surrounding communities.
