Gunmen have killed the village head of Lafagu and six others at Boya, Kaoje in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Sources said the village head, Alhaji Saidu Mujeli, and others were killed when bandits invaded the communities last Sunday.
Governor Nasir Idris during his visit to the communities, said: ‘I received with profound sadness and deep concern the unfortunate incidents that occurred around Kaoje, particularly in the Lafagu and Buya communities, which resulted in the loss of lives, including the death of the Village Head of Lafagu, Alhaji Saidu Mujeli. May Allah SWT forgive their shortcomings and grant them Al-Jannatul Firdaus.”
He assured the affected communities that his administration is working with security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators.
