Egbeda Lions Club under the District 404B3, Lagos, has donated a rest bay and other first aid medical equipment to Dopemu Primary School wellness centre in Dopemu-Agege, Lagos State.
A befitting library, well equipped with books, seats and other educational materials, was also donated and officially handed over to Oore-Ofe Primary School, also in Dopemu.
The Club’s President, in her welcoming address, Lion Ijeoma Hope Udeh, said the initiatives typically were to support the school’s medical, healthcare and learning skills of the pupils.
She said the donation was to fulfil part of the large humanitarian service provided group promises aimed at improving the well-being of the people through enhanced, accessible, efficient healthcare services and pupils’ education standards.
‘After thorough assessments, we discovered that these infrastructures will have a meaningful impact in promoting healthcare and education standards of the children.’
