Hamzat: Lagos has brighter future

The governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, has said the state has a brighter future, urging Lagosians to vote for continuity.

The candidate, his running mate, Princess Damilola Sonayon James, and members of the 2027 Campaign Council visited Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel).

It was in continuation of the ongoing consultations and engagements with key stakeholders ahead of next year’s general election.

Bishop Oyedepo prayed for the candidate, wishing him success at the polls.

Dr. Hamzat said: ‘We celebrated with him on his special day while listening to his thoughts and seeking his counsel on the future of Lagos. I value his wisdom and the perspective he brings to leadership and service.

‘We are focused on building on the progress we have made and creating an even brighter future for Lagos. There is much more to do and we will continue to do it with purpose and a genuine commitment to our people.’

He had also met with the Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Dr. Sam Adeyemi, in Lagos.

‘We spoke about practical leadership and creating real opportunities that touch lives at the grassroots level. Dr. Adeyemi’s insights on nation-building and value-driven leadership were both inspiring and deeply grounded,’ he said.

Hamzat added: ‘I am grateful to Pastor Adeyemi for his time and thoughtful perspectives. I look forward to carrying these discussions forward as we work together towards a Lagos where every community has a reason to believe in what lies ahead.’
