JUST IN: Alleged wiretapping: Court orders El-Rufai to enter defence

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai to enter his defence if he so desires in his ongoing trial over his alleged unlawful interception of the telephone communications of the National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu.

Justice Joyce Abdulmalik issued the order on Monday while ruling on El-Rufai’s no-case submission.

Justice Abdulmalik dismissed the no-case submission saying the prosecution provided sufficient evidence to warrant calling on the defendant to enter his defence if he desires.
