The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Ogun State, Senator Adeola Solomon Olamilekan, popularly known as Yayi, has urged residents to continue embracing unity, peaceful coexistence, and the values that bind the state together.
He said people in the state should renew their commitment to building stronger communities, creating opportunities for young people, and leaving a more prosperous state for generations yet unborn.
He said, ‘As we celebrate another anniversary of our nation’s independence, we join millions of Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora in giving thanks to Almighty God for preserving our country and sustaining our collective journey as one people.
‘Independence Day reminds us not only of the sacrifices of our founding fathers and national heroes, but also of our shared responsibility to build a nation anchored on peace, unity, justice, opportunity and prosperity for all.
‘Despite the challenges we have encountered as a nation, we remain confident in the resilience, enterprise and determination of the Nigerian people. Our strength has always been found in our ability to rise above difficulties, work together and keep faith with the promise of a greater tomorrow.’
He, however, prayed to God for continued blessings for Nigeria, to guide its leaders and to grant them wisdom and strength to fulfil their great promises.
