D’Tigress forward Amy Okonkwo has joined WNBA side Portland Fire as an injury replacement for Sarah Ashlee Barker.
The two-time Women’s AfroBasket MVP returns to the WNBA after averaging 11 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals in eight appearances for the Dallas Wings during the 2025 season.
Okonkwo also had a brief spell with Atlanta Dream earlier this year after signing a developmental contract.
The latest move gives the Nigerian international another opportunity to showcase her quality on one of the biggest stages in women’s basketball.
