Betting brand PariPesa has become Olympique de Marseille’s Regional Africa Partner under a new agreement aimed at African football fans, the two parties announced.
The deal is intended to bring the French Ligue 1 club closer to supporters across the continent, according to a statement from PariPesa. Terms and duration were not disclosed.
Under the partnership, both sides will run co-branded digital campaigns, competitions, giveaways and original content, the statement said. The content will focus on the link between Marseille and Africa.
OM General Manager Alban Juster said the club has long had a special place in Africa.
‘Africa has always held a special place in Olympique de Marseille’s identity and community,’ Juster said. ‘Through our partnership with PariPesa, we look forward to creating new opportunities to engage with our supporters across the continent and further strengthen this connection.’
PariPesa Africa Chief Commercial Officer Jonathan Namasiku said the company was pleased to join the club.
‘We are delighted to become OM’s Regional Africa Partner and look forward to bringing this partnership to life through exciting content, activations and experiences for our audiences across the continent,’ Namasiku said.
PariPesa said the agreement forms part of its long-term brand development in Africa. It also builds on the company’s existing work with former Ivorian and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Touré, its Brand Ambassador.
