Prince Andrew Concerned With ‘Perks’ and ‘Cushy’ Royal Life, Expert Says

A royal expert is pulling back the curtain on Prince Andrew’s decision to give up his royal title as his longstanding relationship with the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein continues to make headlines.

“Gradually, since the Queen’s death, it has dawned on Andrew that he might really be booted out of the royal fold altogether,” Christopher Andersen, royal expert and author of Brothers and Wives, exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, October 17.

“His titles, his privilege, his status all mattered to him,” Andersen continued. “But that has all been peeled away over the last few years and now he’s just hanging on by his fingertips. What matters most to Prince Andrew these days are all the perks — being able to hold on to Royal Lodge, his palatial home on the grounds of Windsor, maintaining a private staff and a cushy lifestyle.”

The author added, “His reputation may be in tatters, but I think he’s reached the stage where it’s the creature comforts that matter to him most. Charles was on the verge of stripping Andrew of his Duke of York title, so Andrew took the preemptive step of doing it himself.”

Prince Andrew’s Ups and Downs Leading Up to Losing Royal Title

On Friday, the embattled royal announced he was giving up his title as Duke of York amid ongoing reports regarding his relationship with Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 while he was being held at the Metropolitan Correction Facility awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.

“In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in a statement to Us on Friday. “I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”

The statement continued, “With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors which have been conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”

The decision came mere hours after a report from U.K.’s The Times claimed that King Charles III was “considering all options” as things hit “a tipping point” between Charles and his brother amid the constant headlines.

“Prince Andrew was Queen Elizabeth’s favorite child, and he could get away with pretty much anything when she was alive. He grew used to that,” Andersen told Us on Friday of Prince Andrew’s conduct and previous responses to the scandal. “Andrew has a definite arrogant streak, so instinctively he puts up a fight whenever he’s called on the carpet by his big brother. But as the scandals keep piling up, he is increasingly resigned to the fact that he has dug a hole for himself he can’t climb out of.”

Will Prince Andrew Lose ‘Royal Protection’ Like Harry After Title Strip?

Andersen continued, “Now it’s all about damage control, so when the King read Andrew the riot act this time, I’m told that this time it didn’t take long for Andrew to shut up for once and listen.”

While Prince Andrew is no longer the Duke of York in any official capacity, Andersen explained to Us that there is one title that he can never and will never lose regardless of scandal.

“It’s important to remember that Andrew did not say he was giving up the Dork of York title, only that he would not be using it in any official capacity,” Andersen told Us. “As the son of the late matriarch, he also remains a prince — no one can take away that honorific.”

Why ‘DWTS’ Alum Peta Murgatroyd Wished Dedication Night Ended in Elimination

Dancing With the Stars’ non-elimination week came as a surprise to the cast — and a former pro dancer.

“I was hoping for an elimination,” Peta Murgatroyd said on the Friday, October 17, episode of her “Penthouse With Peta” podcast, recapping this week’s Dedication Night with fellow alum Sharna Burgess. “Not like that’s a terrible thing to say, but someone’s got to go home.”

During the Tuesday, October 14, live episode, the DWTS couples performed emotional tributes to a special person in each star’s life. At the end of the night, cohosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough revealed that there wouldn’t be an elimination and all votes would roll over to next week.

“I know why they don’t because it’s a sad situation,” Murgatroyd, 39, noted on her podcast of the decision to avoid eliminating a couple in the wake of such emotional performances. “But, I’m in two minds about it because Elaine [Hendrix] coming down and speaking at the end with Andy [Richter] was really sweet. They [were] so elated and happy that everyone made it through.”

Jordan Chiles Was ‘Pissed’ No One Went Home on ‘DWTS’ Dedication Night

While Murgatroyd was equally happy for Hendrix, 54, Richter, 58, and the rest of the mirrorball hopefuls, she still was expecting an elimination. (Hendrix and Richter shared a sweet hug on the ballroom floor after Ribeiro’s announcement.)

Burgess, 40, however, thought the non-elimination was signaling another twist up ahead.

“Are team dances next week?” Burgess questioned, referring to the pairings splitting into groups to perform a joint routine in the ballroom. “I figured [they decided not to eliminate anyone] because they need an even number of couples.”

It’s not known whether season 34 will include team dances, but the stars were just as confused as Murgatroyd and Burgess when no one went home on Tuesday. Contestant Jordan Chiles, for her part, exclusively told Us that the twist was “the most devastating thing ever.”

“I think this was the first time I was like, ‘We’re in elimination and what is happening?’ Only because we rehearsed it. We rehearsed everything going on,” Chiles, 24, told Us on Tuesday of the pre-show dress rehearsal. “I think everybody — not even just us — but everybody’s moods were just like, ‘Are you serious right now?’ I was pissed, personally.”

Chiles’ dance partner, Ezra Sosa, was similarly confused by the switch.

“You can’t play these mind games with us. That’s not right,” Sosa, 24, quipped to Us. “It’s almost worse. You’re going to line us up? No, girl. No. Send someone home. Just do it. Come on.”

‘DWTS’ Pro Jenna Johnson Was ‘Shocked’ by 1 Dedication Night Score

Now, Hendrix, Richter, Chiles and the rest of remaining season 34 partners will return for Wicked Night next week featuring guest judge Jon M. Chu, who directed Wicked and the upcoming Wicked: For Good.

Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

Tired of Tight Pants? 17 Boutique-Looking Skirts to Wear Instead

Why is it such a struggle to put on pants some days? Personally, I prefer stretchy leggings over any bottoms with buttons, but lately I’ve been reaching for a different, equally fuss-free option: flowy skirts.

Boutique skirts solve the annoying dilemma of dealing with tight pants. While details like elastic waists and roomy leg areas make them easy to pull on, your outfit instantly looks more polished and put-together. Ahead, I’ve rounded up a list of midis, maxis and more that you’ll feel confident and comfortable wearing throughout this season and beyond.

17 Boutique-Looking Skirts to Wear Instead of Tight Pants

1. My Favorite: The ultimate cool-girl skirt, this stretchy, floral midi design makes it easy to achieve a grungy look, especially when paired with a leather jacket and combat boots.

2. Boho Forever: A tiered, flowy white skirt will always be a pillar in a boho-chic wardrobe. This one is ultra soft and comfortable.

3. Dreaming of Vacation: Wish you could jet to the Greek islands? Same. This skirt transports you there with its intricate European-inspired patterns.

Jeans? No, Thanks! These 15 Fall Maxi Skirts Are Stylish and Much Comfier

4. She Was a Fairy: Tulle has an inherent whimsical vibe to it. This pick feels polished and mature, complete with muted colors and dainty bow embroidery.

5. Fall Staple: Love the look of corduroy but hate tight pants? Happy Sailed’s mini skirt offers the same character but is much more comfortable.

6. The Most Comfortable: Skater-style skirts are some of the most flattering silhouettes, and this simple option feels like a pair of yoga pants.

7. Pleats or Bust: One of my favorite trends this year is pleated skirts. The elegant staple stands the test of time, and Quince’s chiffon midi looks extra elegant.

8. Wear Anywhere: For the days you don’t want to wear jeans, opt for a silk slip skirt. It goes with anything and everything in your closet.

9. Sweater Skirt: You’ve heard of the sweater dress, but what about a sweater skirt? This cashmere midi keeps your lower half extra warm through the cold months.

10. Make a Statement: A full skirt — like this Poplin Pintuck Maxi from Quince — is lightweight, layerable and a total fashion statement.

11. Preppy Heaven: Blair Waldorf called, she wants this Upper East Side-chic, pleated mini skirt for herself!

12. Upgraded Classic: Wrap skirts have the same waist-cinching effect as wrap dresses, and they might even be more comfortable. Nordstrom’s textured version is perfect for the office.

13. Spooky Season: Lean into the moody, witchy energy of autumn with Halogen’s dark, pleated midi skirt. Style it with a black turtleneck and boots for the perfect fall ‘fit.

14. Forget Loungewear: You’ll end up ditching your go-to leggings for this drapey, gathered midi skirt that’s just as easy to wear.

15. Unexpected Favorite: Land’s End left me feeling impressed with its cotton flared mini skirt that’s comparable to a plush sweater.

16. New Take on Denim: Most people own jeans, but not everyone owns a long denim skirt. This jean maxi offers plenty of stretch and comes in five colors, including black and green.

17. Fashion Diva: Most people either love or hate bubble skirts, but as soon as you slip into this bubble maxi, you’ll be totally smitten.

Former NFL Player Arrested in Nashville Prostitution Sting

Former NFL running back and Nashville-area high school football coach Herman “Jay” Graham III has been arrested after allegedly attempting to have sex with an underage girl.

Police reports viewed by Us Weekly indicate Graham, 50, was arrested and booked on prostitution charges and patronizing with a minor aged 15-18 just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15.

Us has reached out to Metro Nashville Police, Centennial High School and Williamson County Schools for comment.

Graham was arrested on Thursday, October 16, alongside two other men after police posted ads on adult websites, WSMV reported. Graham allegedly responded to an ad and began to message with an undercover officer posing as a 16-year-old girl. The pair reportedly agreed on a price of $120 for sex and arranged to meet at an area hotel, where Graham was arrested once he gave the officer the agreed upon payment.

Penn State Coach Criticized for Response After Former Players’ Rape Charges

Graham was hired by Williamson County as a substitute teacher and coach at Centennial High School in Franklin, Tennessee, in July 2025 and was promoted to full-time teacher in July 2025. He reportedly had no criminal history prior to his hiring.

Dr. Clarissa Haymon, the principal of Centennial High School, sent a letter to parents confirming Graham’s arrest. Haymon also noted Graham was fired from his coaching role and suspended without pay from his teaching position.

“I am writing to you tonight with disturbing news,” Haymon wrote. “This evening, we were notified by law enforcement that our head football coach Jay Graham was arrested earlier today during a sting operation in Nashville on two felony charges of patronizing prostitution and solicitation of a minor to commit statutory rape.”

Haymon continued, “Metro Police will be sending out a news release later this evening, and I expect to see this news on our local TV stations and other media outlets as well as on social media. Mr. Graham has been fired from the coaching staff at Centennial and suspended without pay from his teaching position. He will not be allowed on our campus.”

Haymon also noted the school would provide counselors to meet with students, and that she and the school’s staff would directly address any concerns members of the football team Graham coached might have regarding his arrest.

“Law enforcement has not indicated that there should be any concern for Centennial families; however, should you have any information to share, please contact law enforcement,” Haymon concluded.

Graham was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round as the No. 64 overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft. In addition to the Ravens, he also played for the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers before he retired from the NFL in 2002 and joined the Canadian Football League.

Shannon Sharpe Accused of Rape, Sexual Battery in $50 Million Lawsuit: Report

Graham started coaching 2005, going on to work for several Tennessee colleges and universities, including the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga and the University of Tennessee in Martin, before moving on to the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Florida State Seminoles. He returned to Tennessee in 2019, when he joined the coaching staff of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Silver Strikers humble Tanzania’s Young Africans

….Silver Strikers 1-0 Tanzania’s Young Africans

…”𝐖𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨”- 𝐊𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s central Bankers team, Silver Strikers on Saturday afternoon beat Tanzania’s Young Africans one to nil at Bingu National Stadium (BNS) in the capital Lilongwe in the CAF Champions league.

Silver Strikers Head Coach Etson Kadenge Mwafulirwa says his side still has a lot of work to do despite their 1-0 victory against Tanzania’s Young Africans.

In his post match interview after his team’s victory, Kadenge said they were facing a team which is tactically good and they have to be cautious about it as they prepare for their trip to Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Tanzania next weekend.

“They are tactically good with well experienced players so we will approach the next game with caution,” Kadenge said.

He indicated that they won’t go to Tanzania with a defensive mind but an attacking one because that’s the best way to defend.

“We will try as much as we can to score an away goal as well but if that will not work then we will protect what we have,” he lamented.

Meanwhile, his counterpart Roman Fols expressed his disappointment with the defeat believing that his side had many opportunities they failed to utilize.

“I don’t want to bring more negatives into the result but we were not good enough today,” Fols said.

He made it clear that they will watch the game again and see which areas they need to improve to turn up the tables.

“We will make sure that we work towards qualifying for the next round despite today’s result and we will surely do it,” he said.

Andrew Joseph scored the only goal of the game on 75th minute of the match after some good work from former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets midfielder Ernest Petro.

It was Joseph’s second goal for the Central Bankers in the CAF Champions League being the only player that has scored for the Area 47 side in CAF competition so far.

Bullets thrush Kamuzu Barracks to book FDH Bank Cup semi-final

…..Bullets 2-1 KB

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have stormed into the semifinals of the FDH Bank Cup after defeating Kamuzu Barracks 2-1 in a quarterfinal encounter played on Saturday afternoon at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Bullets showed their class early in the game with Ephraim Kondowe opening the scoring in the 34th minute after a brilliant build-up initiated by Peter Banda.

Just a minute later, Hassan Kajoke doubled the lead, finishing off a clever assist from Kondowe, sending the home fans into celebration.

However, Kamuzu Barracks refused to go down quietly. In the 38th minute, Olson Kanjira pulled one back for the visitors after connecting well with Zeliet Nkhoma’s pass, making it 2-1 before halftime.

The second half saw Kamuzu Barracks pile pressure on Bullets, creating several chances through Kanjira and Nkhoma but Bullets goalkeeper Richard Chimbamba stood firm to protect the lead.

Despite their dominance in the later stages, the soldiers couldn’t find an equalizer as Bullets held on for the win after 09 minutes plus 5 minutes of additional time.

Bullets’ assistant coach, Gilbert Chirwa, expressed satisfaction with the result admitting the second half was a tough battle:

“We played well in the first half, but Kamuzu Barracks came hard on us after the break. However, reaching the semifinals shows the spirit and character of Bullets winning is in our DNA,” said Chirwa.

On the other hand, Kamuzu Barracks coach Nicholas Mhango lamented his team’s missed chances.

“We conceded soft goals early on but in the second half, we created many opportunities which we failed to utilize. That cost us the game,” he said.

Chawanangwa Gumbo was named Man of the Match for his commanding performance in midfield.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets become the third team to secure a semifinal slot, joining Silver Strikers and Civil Service United.

The last spot will be decided tomorrow October 19,2025,when Creck Sporting Club face Mighty Wanderers at Dimba Stadium.
