OneDosh cardholders can now withdraw cash at Visa ATMs worldwide

For many of OneDosh’s users across Africa, Europe and the US, getting paid in dollars is only half the problem. Turning those dollars into usable local cash often means a trip to an exchange bureau, a transfer through a third party, or a poor rate at the end of a long wait.

Freelancers and creators paid in dollars can access cash at home without an extra transfer.

Travelers and diaspora visitors can withdraw local currency abroad instead of carrying cash across borders.

‘Cash still matters in everyday life, especially across Africa. Our users already hold dollars in OneDosh. Now they can take that money out as cash at almost any ATM in the world, in seconds, using the same card they spend with every day,’ said Austin Cornell, chief product officer of OneDosh.

At any ATM displaying the Visa logo, users insert their OneDosh card, enter their PIN and choose the amount. When the ATM asks for an account type, users should select Credit, not Checking or Savings.

Withdrawal limits are designed to keep accounts secure: Up to $250 per withdrawal, including any fee charged by the ATM operator; Up to 3 withdrawals in any rolling 24-hour period and up to $750 in cash in any rolling 24 hours.

ATM operators may charge their own fee, which is shown on screen before the withdrawal is confirmed. ATM withdrawals are available now to all OneDosh Visa cardholders. To get a card, download the OneDosh app on iOS or Android.
