Dominica’s Olympic champion Thea LaFond-Gadson produced a historic triple jump performance to grab gold at the at the WACT Golden Meeting here on Friday.

The 32-year-old leapt a world-leading 15.25 metres, setting a new national record in the process.
Her effort not only smashed the previous national record of 15.02 metres, which she set at the 2024 Paris Olympics, but also ranks as the ninth best leap in women’s triple jump history.
