A light-hearted but telling identity mix-up has taken over social media, after many Malawians began confusing Speaker of Parliament Samir Suleman’s wife with MCP Deputy President Abida Mia, thanks to their striking resemblance.
Since the Speaker took office, his wife has been by his side at major events — from the swearing-in ceremonies to high-profile public functions. But her growing visibility quickly sparked confusion, with some Malawians confidently insisting they were looking at Abida Mia.
“I was shocked for a moment — she really looks like Abida Mia,” one commentator confessed. Even lawyer Khumbo Soko joined the fun, writing, “For a moment, Mrs. Suleman keeps looking like Abida Mia. Are they related or what?“ Another lawyer-politician, Silvester Ayuba James, added fuel to the fire with a playful claim: “I hear they are sisters… if not cousins.”
The confusion escalated when a photo of Mrs. Suleman greeting First Lady Gertrude Mutharika led some MCP supporters to think that Abida Mia had “joined DPP,” sparking unnecessary online heat.
But the facts are now clear: the two women are not related in any way — not sisters, not cousins, not family. Just two stylish, confident women who happen to share similar facial features.

Reenie was excited that Randy was sticking around. She pointed out though that Colorado is usually for people who enjoy “the open doors” after Randy expressed excitement at a comic book store near his new home.

Randy’s move comes amid a shocking cast reconfiguration, which led to Lee, 31, and Rene, 37, being the only recurring actors still left on the show alongside Hartley, 48. Viewers have been tuning in week after week to watch survivalist Colter (Hartley) travel the country to help solve various missing persons cases.

The ensemble cast has grown since its February 2024 debut with handlers Teddi (Robin Weigert) and Velma (Abby McEnany), hacker Bobby (Bobby Graise) and attorney Reenie. Weigert exited the show ahead of season 2 before Graise was noticeably absent from six episodes. His cousin Randy was brought in to help Colter before Bobby returned, which caused backlash from viewers who grew used to seeing Graise on their screen.
“Randy came in and also gave something to the show that was different. There was a real warmth and fun when he came in. It was something that I think we were missing a little bit too in some episodes. He just was immediately fun when he came in,” Reid exclusively told Us Weekly in May. “With those dynamics — and in playing with this team dynamics — that’s all stuff we’re going to continue to play with in season 3 as the show evolves.”
He continued: “We’re going to bring back some characters from seasons 1 and 2 — we’re going to see them more and more. There’s been some fun characters that I think are fun to see in Colter’s world [season to season].”
“It’s one of those things where actor availability is always an issue. There have been shows where people don’t even notice [if a character is missing],” he told Us, explaining how Tracker doesn’t operate like most shows with an ensemble cast. “You don’t [always] see Reenie. He talks to Velma for two seconds. He may talk to Bobby for one phone call. The show works because you are over Justin [Hartley]’s shoulder. One of the challenges in season 3 is going to be reconfiguring the team and figuring out what that team looks like.”
“Reenie takes a lot of the guilt [from her season 2 case] on and she’s brought Randy up there to fix it. You get to see them in the office. That forms a good bond between those two. Then we’re going to bring in another character as she tries to expand her law office a little bit. That will be interesting,” he shared in October. “It’s just building out those story lines. The challenge we set up for ourselves this season was to build out those people’s world a little bit.”
Reid concluded: “It’s about trying to get a little bit of lightness [into the show] because sometimes Colter is doing some really dark and heavy stuff. It’s life or death.”

While the Bravosphere is still buzzing over “OG of the OC” Vicki Gunvalson’s return to The Real Housewives of Orange County, potential drama between the cast is already brewing.
“Even just, like, over the summer, Vicki was, like, texting me stuff and saying, like, oh, I’m just gonna keep me mouth shut [about] what she said,” Gretchen Rossi exclusively told Us Weekly on Saturday, November 15, while attending BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas.
“She was telling me some insane stuff,” she continued, claiming that Vicki was texting about her longtime friend and RHOC costar Tamra Judge.
“Yeah, it’s gonna be, it’s gonna be interesting to see the dynamics,” Gretchen said.
Vicki’s official return to reality TV was announced at this year’s three-day fan convention in Sin City on Friday, November 14, after Andy Cohensurprised her on stage with an orange during The Bravos awards.
“Vicki, would you join us as a housewife for season 20?” Cohen asked Vicki, who became visibly emotional on stage. (Vicki helped launch the reality TV show and appeared for 14 seasons before walking away from the cameras in January 2020.)

After her onstage BravoCon moment, Us caught up with Vicki, who exclusively shared what the surprise experience was like for her.
“When I went out there, Andy wanted me to give Kandi Burruss the Wifetime Achievement Award, and he gave me a week’s notice,” Vicki explained to Us on Saturday. “I prepared a speech, and I went up on stage, and it wasn’t on the prompter.”
She continued, “When he asked me about season 20, I was really somber going out there because I thought, ‘This is my last time on stage. This is my last time with BravoCon. They’re putting me out to pasture. I’m going to kick and scream the whole way out, but I’m going to do it.’ And then, when he asked me, it took a while for me to understand that this is my next life now for at least a year. I’m so grateful and thankful. I’m just going to be me and have fun and encourage women.”
While Gretchen seemed to allude to some possible bad blood still lingering between the pair, Tamra told Us that while she was surprised to hear that Vicki was returning to the show she is excited for the upcoming season.
“No, I did not know it was gonna go down,” Tamra told Us on Saturday. “I’ve been, you know, spending a little time with Vicki lately and talking with her. And I’m like, ‘Have you got any news? You know, normally we don’t get news about next season till about December or January. So she’s like, ‘No, I haven’t heard anything.’”
She continued, “So yeah, she was totally surprised. Totally surprised.”
Tamra later told Us that she “was so happy” to see her friend on stage accepting her orange, adding that her husband, Eddie Judge, was sitting next to Vicki’s boyfriend, Michael Smith, as the moment played out on stage.
“He’s like, his jaw dropped,” she dished to us of Michael’s reaction to his girlfriend having her BravoCon moment. “And he’s like, ‘Oh my god, this is happening.’ Because he’s much like Eddie, where he’s like, ‘OK, you do your stuff. I’m gonna go sit over in the corner.’ So now, Eddie will have somebody to hang out with.”
JOHANNESBURG-(MaraviPost)-Malawian rising boxing star Mayamiko “Tyson” Mozland delivered a sensational performance on Sunday night, stopping Zimbabwe’s Lancelot Moyo in a stunning knockout that left fans on both sides of the border in awe.
The fight, held at Johannesburg’s Fourways Farmers Market, drew a packed crowd eager to witness the clash between two promising southern African fighters. From the opening bell, Mozland showcased his trademark speed and precision, immediately putting Moyo on the back foot.
Moyo, known for his toughness and resilience, tried to impose his own rhythm with aggressive jabs and heavy hooks.
But Mozland’s footwork and timing proved too sharp, allowing him to dodge attacks while landing punishing counters.

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President Lazarus Chakwera has appealed to Malawians to keep him in their prayers as he prepares to travel to Tanzania under a Commonwealth assignment aimed at supporting peace and stability efforts.
Chakwera confirmed that he has accepted the role as one of the key figures entrusted with facilitating high-level dialogue to promote calm and peaceful coexistence in the region.
He described the task ahead as highly demanding and emphasized the need for spiritual and moral support from all Malawians.
The former president noted that such peace missions require patience, wisdom, and courage, qualities he believes can be strengthened through collective prayer.
Chakwera further urged citizens across the country to continue upholding peace and love among one another as a way of strengthening national unity.
He said maintaining harmony is essential for Malawi’s progress, especially during a period of political transition following the recent elections.
According to Chakwera, Malawi remains a shining example of peaceful democratic conduct on the African continent.
He highlighted that Malawians exercised their right to vote and elected new leaders without resorting to violence or conflict.
Chakwera expressed hope that the same spirit of unity and calm will continue to guide the nation as it moves toward development and stability.

LAGOS-(MaraviPost)-Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle has revealed the reason behind the heated confrontation between him and the DR Congo technical staff at the end of the World Cup playoff final.
Speaking after the match, Chelle explained that tensions escalated due to what he described as suspicious actions by a member of the DR Congo camp during the penalty decisions.
According to him, the individual repeatedly performed actions he considered unusual.
“During all the penalty decisions, the guy from Congo was doing some voodoo… every time,” Chelle said. “That is why I reacted the way I did.”
When asked to clarify what he observed, the coach said the man appeared to be throwing some kind of liquid while making gestures.
“I don’t know what to call it. He was throwing something like water or something,” Chelle added, raising his hand in demonstration.
