The Cyprus EU Presidency has convened an extraordinary meeting of the European Union’s Permanent Representatives on Sunday afternoon in Brussels, calling in ambassadors from all 27 member states for urgent consultations.
The meeting follows comments by US President Donald Trump announcing plans to impose new tariffs on European allies, linking the measures to a demand that the United States be allowed to purchase Greenland.
According to the Cyprus EU Presidency, the session will be held in a restricted format.
