Retail trade up 7.6% in value and 10.1% in volume in October

The Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade for October 2025 increased by 7.6% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, according to data published on Monday by the Statistical Service.

For the same month, the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade increased by 10.1% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.

The biggest increases in value and in volume were recorded in clothing and footwear (15.3% and 24.4% respectively), in food, beverages and tobacco in specialised stores (12.9% and 15.3% respectively) and in other household equipment (construction materials, carpets, furniture, electrical appliances, lighting) by 11% ?a? 12.8% respectively.

The largest decrease was recorded in retail sale not in stores (10.7% in value and 7.5% in volume).

During the period January-October 2025, the turnover value index of retail trade was up 6.4% and the turnover volume index of retail trade up by 7.8%.
