Host-actress Shuvee Etrata marked a new milestone by purchasing her family’s first-ever vehicle.
Shuvee, the eldest of nine siblings, documented gifting a white van to her family while at a Cebu hotel.
The Etrata family was in a celebratory mood as the car pulled in, with patriarch Michael visibly in tears even as he sat in the driver’s seat.
“Our first family car. Things we never had growing up, but now get to experience together for the first time,” Shuvee wrote in the caption of the post capturing the moment. “Some dreams hit differently when you know how long your family has waited. We made it, fam! Thank you, Papa Jesus!!” Among those who congratulated Shuvee were Sanya Lopez, Klarisse de Guzman, Mika Salamanca, Esnyr Ranollo, Shaira Diaz, Gabby Eigenmann, Vania Romoff, Cianne Dominguez, Vivoree Esclito, Josh Ford, and Anthony Constantino.
Shuvee bought her own first car, also a white vehicle, last year following a popular stint on “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition.”
The actress grew up in Bantayan Island, Cebu, where she admitted that her family had faced several hardships leading to her being driven to do better in life as her family’s breadwinner. The actress joined contests, including beauty pageants, and eventually landed a spot at the first-ever GMA-ABS-CBN collaboration on last year’s hit reality TV show “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition.”
Shuvee recently celebrated her sister Shaina being the family’s first college graduate and is currently overseeing the completion of a new family house in Cebu.
