Chie Filomeno revealed that a certain Sofia is out to tarnish her reputation and would even resort to asking influencers to do the job, although she didn’t outright reveal whom she was referring to.
On her Instagram Stories on Saturday, Oct. 18, Filomeno posted a series of screenshots revealing a text message claiming that a certain ‘Sofia’ reached out to some influencers to spread hate against her.
Filomeno then said she has always known this ‘Sofia’ of being ‘evil,’ but that she was still shocked that the latter would be willing to ‘go this low.’ She also hoped that the latter’s daughter, whom she didn’t name, wouldn’t go through the same fate in the future.
‘I am not surprised anymore, though. But I hope and pray that the things you are doing to me now, your daughter will never experience. I really wish she does not feel this kind of pain. Because I will never do something like this, I do not want my future child to be treated the way you treat people,’ she wrote.
In separate Instagram Stories, Filomeno shared screenshots of an informant telling her of Sofia’s efforts to tarnish her reputation, and would allegedly resort to ‘disappearing messages’ to give an impression of hiding the evidence. The ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ star also shared a screenshot of a message she supposedly sent Sofia, where she accused the latter of being a ‘traitor.’
‘Stop saying you feel betrayed when you are the traitor. No wonder you said ‘This is for you to figure things out and fight for yourself.’ Because you had a master plan. Wish you all the best, I truly do,’ her message to Sofia read. While resharing an old quote of not stooping down to an adversary’s level, Filomeno said she ‘tried [her] best’ to not return the pain to the enemy, she acknowledged that she’s only human who gets hurt.
‘I tried. I really did. I’m sorry, tao lang din ako. Masasaktan, mapupuno, at minsan sasabog. What she did was too much. I saw the effect it had on my family, okay lang sana if it were just me, trust me, I’ve heard worse. Pero iba na kapag nadadamay na sila. The revelations these past few weeks about what she’s been doing behind my back are unbelievable and unsettling,’ she said. The Kapamilya star also reiterated that she doesn’t want to drag one’s child into the matter, but explained that she has to put her foot down when ‘Sofia’ would ‘use the mom card or anak card to justify her actions.’
‘As much as I want to do this with grace, sometimes they need a dose of their own medicine. But what you’re doing is cruel, Sofia – messaging creators to throw hate on someone? That’s crossing the line. That’s evil really,’ she added.
While Filomeno did not reveal outright whom she was picking a fight with, previous reports alleged that she had a feud with Sofia Andres. Coincidentally, the ‘Sofia’ that was mentioned in the Girl Trends member’s Instagram Story has a child like Andres’.
The actress earlier made headlines after her ex-boyfriend Jake Cuenca confirmed that their romance has already ended. Since then, she is reported to be dating Matthew Lhuillier, cousin of Andres’ partner, Daniel Miranda.
