Social media commentator and radio personality, Radiogad, has spoken about the humanitarian activities of Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, claiming that several of the artiste’s charitable efforts have received little public attention.
Radiogad, in a recent social media post, described Burna Boy as an artist who supports people privately and noted that some of his contributions to individuals and communities are not usually publicised.
According to him, the singer has carried out several charity initiatives, including supporting community projects and empowering young people through his football academy.
‘Burna Boy has a good heart. He is one artist that helps people from the bottom of his heart. He has done a lot of charity work that went unnoticed,’ Radiogad said.
The media personality further claimed that Burna Boy has been involved in projects such as school renovations and road rehabilitation, adding that some of these activities did not receive widespread media coverage.
He also mentioned the singer’s football academy, stating that the initiative provides support for young players beyond football development.
Radiogad added that Burna Boy’s approach to charity is often private, claiming that the singer does not always seek public recognition for his interventions.
‘I just want to take this time to appreciate him because he doesn’t get the flowers he deserves,’ he said.
The radio personality also recalled an instance where Burna Boy reportedly supported the family of nightlife personality, Cubana Chief Priest.
While praising the singer’s efforts, Radiogad acknowledged that Burna Boy, like other public figures, has faced controversies and criticism, but maintained that his philanthropic activities should also be recognised.
